Positive Regulation of CDH1 Gene Transcription
Numerous transcription factors have been identified as direct positive regulators of transcription of CDH1 gene (also known as E-cadherin, epithelial cadherin, Cadherin-1, CADH1, or uvomorulin). Only those transcription factors reported to directly stimulate CDH1 gene transcription in at least two studies have been annotated in this pathway. These include ARID1A (Yan et al. 2014; Baldi et al. 2022), FOXA2 (Zhang et al. 2015; Bow et al. 2020; Liu et al. 2021), FOXJ2 (Martin de Lara et al. 2008; Zhang et al. 2018), KLF4 (Yori et al. 2010; Bjerke et al. 2011; Koopmansch et al. 2013; Lee et al. 2014; Lin et al. 2018), KLF9 (Zhong et al. 2018; Bai et al. 2021), RB1 (Batsche et al. 1998; Decary et al. 2002; Arima et al. 2008), SP1 (Mauro et al. 2007; Jin and Datta 2014; Zhang et al. 2022), and TFAP2A (Faraldo et al. 1997; Batsche et al. 1998; Decary et al. 2002; Schwartz et al. 2007; Arima et al. 2008).
Transcription factors implicated in direct upregulation of CDH1 gene transcription by a single study are not shown in the pathway diagram. These include CREB1 (Mauro et al. 2007), GATA3 (Yan et al. 2010), GRHL2 (Werth et al. 2010), GRHL3 (Alotaibi et al. 2015), MITF (Mansky et al. 2002), MSX2 (Lin et al. 2018), NACC1 (Faiola et al. 2017), PDX1 (Marty Santos et al. 2016), RUNX2 (Li et al. 2018), and TFAP2C (Wang et al. 2020).
